About Horizon
We're building something that doesn't exist yet.
Horizon is a planned campus-based organization designed to bring every critical support service under one roof — so that the people who need help most don't have to fight a fragmented system to get it.
Our Story
The idea came from watching people fall through the cracks.
Every city has the same story. Someone loses their housing. They need medical care, but the clinic is across town and requires an appointment three weeks out. They need job training, but childcare isn't covered. They need mental health support, but the waitlist is six months long. Each service exists somewhere — but the distance between them, the paperwork, the waitlists, the transportation barriers — that's where people give up.
Horizon was founded on a simple premise: what if everything was in one place? Not a referral network. Not a coalition of agencies pointing at each other. One campus, one team, one plan per person — with every resource within walking distance.
We are currently in the development phase, building the partnerships, funding, and infrastructure to make this vision real. Every service on our site is planned. We are transparent about that because we believe the community deserves to know exactly what we're building and why.
Our Vision
A campus where stability is possible.
The Horizon campus will be a place where a person can wake up in stable housing, see a doctor, attend a job training program, drop their kids at childcare, and meet with a case manager — all in the same day, without a car, without navigating five different agencies, and without falling through the cracks between them. That's not a utopia. That's a design decision.
Integration over referral
Services that talk to each other, share information with consent, and coordinate around each person's actual needs.
Dignity over charity
Every person who walks through our doors is treated as a capable adult working toward their own goals — not a recipient of someone else's generosity.
Transparency over polish
We say what we're building, what we haven't built yet, and what we're still figuring out. Trust is built on honesty.
Proximity over referral networks
The most powerful thing we can do is put everything in one place. Proximity isn't a luxury — it's the intervention.
Leadership
Built by people who've seen the gaps firsthand.
Our founding team brings together experience in social services, healthcare, housing policy, nonprofit management, and community organizing. We're not theorizing about what people need — we've worked alongside them.
Executive Director
Organizational leadership, vision, and partnership development
Position to be announced as we finalize our founding team. We are actively recruiting experienced nonprofit leaders who share our commitment to integrated, dignity-centered services.
Director of Programs
Service design, program development, and outcomes
Position to be announced. We are seeking a leader with deep experience in wraparound service models and a track record of building programs that produce lasting change.
Director of Partnerships
Community relationships, government liaison, and funding
Position to be announced. This role will be central to building the network of partners, funders, and government relationships that make the Horizon campus possible.
Partnership Philosophy
We can't build this alone. We're not trying to.
Horizon is not designed to replace the organizations already doing good work in this community. It's designed to amplify them. We are actively seeking partnerships with healthcare providers, educational institutions, employers, government agencies, faith communities, and other nonprofits who want to be part of a model that actually works.
Healthcare Partners
Clinics, hospitals, and mental health providers who want to extend their reach to the people who need them most.
Education & Workforce Partners
Community colleges, trade schools, and employers who want to connect with motivated people ready to build new skills.
Government & Policy Partners
City, county, and state agencies working on housing, health, and human services who want a community partner.
Funding Partners
Foundations, individual donors, and corporate partners who want to invest in a model built for lasting impact.
